The ACS-A is SterileZone's lightest (46 lbs.) and smallest air scrubber, ideal for mold remediation, abatement and filtration jobs in especially tight spaces. It can either be hand carried using its top handles or transported using an optional caster cart.
Four-Stage Filtration
Contaminants pass through three progressively efficient filters and four stages of filtration:
Stage 1: The inexpensive, one-inch deep Fiber-Trapper® prefilter captures larger particulates (50-100 microns) and extends the life of the subsequent filters. It has exceptional dirt-holding capacity, and can be used as a disposable, or cleaned and reused over and over again.
Stages 2 and 3: A dual-purpose pleated secondary filter combines a media layer with MERV 7 ASHRAE particulate-capture efficiency and Vapor-Lock® carbon media for lighter concentrations of gases, odors and VOC. A high-capacity Vapor-Lock® filter is available separately.
Stage 4: The metal frame HEPA filter is tested and certified to a filtration efficiency of 99.97% or greater @ 0.3 microns. This filter meets IEST-RP-CC001.3 specifications for Type A HEPA filters andcomplies with HEPA recommendations in the 2003 CDC Infection Control Guidelines.
